I have been working as a counsellor and psychotherapist since
1987. I have worked in private practice and in the NHS. Throughout my career I have continued to incorporate new skills into
my practice. As well as the brief therapy approach for example I also use some CBT techniques, and the
response-based approach.
I have used my psychotherapy skills to develop and deliver training
to counsellors and psychotherapists, doctors, nurses and health visitors, and complementary health practitioners. I have also
facilitated team building sessions for the NHS. I recently trained the counsellors
of Ealing PCT in Brief Therapy skills.
Following my recently
published article*, Relate invited me to join their external panel to help in the development of their training and services
in domestic violence.
I have lived in this country since 1981 but I was brought up near
Paris
so I am very happy to offer sessions in French if required.
“Just a little note to
say a big ‘THANK YOU!’ for being a really great counsellor and a lovely lady. If everyone could have a Martine
to talk to there’d be so many happier people about!” Jill
